"Other Arrangements " is a group exhibition featuring new sculpture from both Natascha Snellman and Jill Spector, paintings from Stanley Kaplan, and new photography from the collaborative team of Marc Swanson and Joe Mama-Nitzberg. These works formally and conceptually arrange the natural and the cultural to address issues of duality, identity and the memorial. The exhibition was organized by Diana Thater.
Natascha Snellman's new work MRA (mounted rider association) arranges equestrian and bondage structures through spatial aesthetics. By reconstructing and arranging virile models with aesthetic surrogates, Snellman explores the relationship between animal and man/woman, man and woman, and the other.
